The Amazing Experience of the Flight of P-51F-22 In A 360 Degree Video

The amazing experience of the flight of the North American P-51 Mustang “ValHalla” / F-22 Raptor at the Abbotsford International Air Show put on by the USAF is available by watching the 360 degree video on Youtube on the Heritage Flight Museum channel.

This flight was filmed using a 360 degree camera and shared courtesy of AeroCaputure Images.

Right away the first thing that is noticed is the breath-taking views from the cockpit as the top half of the entire aircraft is completely transparent giving the impression of bird-like flight with bird-eye views.

It was amazing to see the sun on the horizon, the cerulean blue sky, the cotton white clouds, the hills and mountains, the neighborhoods and farmland at such clarity and with absolutely nothing from the aircraft obstructing the view.

There is also no reflection coming from the windows that affect the filming of the flight, which shows the power of the lens of the 360 degree camera.

Next the smooth turns and different angles of those turns is highly impressive. Also the differing altitudes that those turns are taken truly highlight the P-51/F22 capabilities.

The 360 degree inversions of the aircraft and the speed between becoming upright and changes in altitude just makes a person speechless. As most film producers know is that what is NOT noticeable by the audience, for example, any mistakes or problems, that makes a great film production.

The subtle fact that the 360 video camera didn’t shake or have any motion problems filming this the whole time is far beyond the viewers highest expectations.

The fact of the smoothness of both the 360 degree aircraft and the 360 degree video camera shouldn’t be lost on the viewer.

This truly was an unforgettable viewing experience of both the flight of the North American P-51 Mustang “ValHalla” / F-22 Raptor and the power of the camera filming the flight !!
